About

UNBOUND216 is a faith-based transitional care ministry designed to prepare inmates for release by helping them discover their God-given purpose.

Our ministerial purpose is accomplished through:

A Bible-based, Christ-centered, long-term (forty-six [46] weeks inside phase and one [1] year outside phase), intensive, discipleship program

Structured residential programming conducive for large/small group instruction, one-on-one mentoring, and prosocial community participation

“Living as free men in Christ” (Mission), developing “Authority, Accountability, and Responsibility” (Values), with the aim of “Breaking the Back of Recidivism through the Gospel of Jesus Christ” (Vision)

Providing transitional housing and support services including, but not limited to, case management, job training, and placement services as well as Biblical discipleship through volunteer mentors

Providing the resources and structure necessary to become productive citizens by reintegrating themselves into the community without reverting to self-destructive patterns of behavior

OUR MISSION

Living as Free Men in Christ

1 Peter 2:16, “Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God."

Breaking the back of recidivism through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

According to the DoJ, the national recidivism rate exceeds 80%. This means that out of all those who have been released from prison across the nation, 80% of them are reoffending and returning to prison. Without intervention, this will only get worse.

In UnBound216, we are witnessing what happens when a man is transformed through the gospel and taught how to be respectful of God-given Authority, Accountable to God and his fellowman, and Responsible for his actions. The recidivism rate for UnBound216’s graduates is only 5%. In other words, out of all those who have graduated from UnBound216 and returned to society, only 5% of them have reoffended and returned to prison.

Our Team

The men and women of Unbound216 are dedicated to discipleship and loving like Christ.
